Good Eikaiwa Terms and conditions

Welcome to Good Eikaiwa! By using our platform, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully. 1. Subscription and Access Your subscription grants access to multimedia courses, the user community, live video chat sessions and other live events (free or paid), and the Good Shop and any other standard content or features released in the future. "Standard content" is defined at the discretion of The Good Team (Good Eikaiwa's administrative team) and is subject to change without notice. Subscriptions auto-renew monthly or yearly (depending on the account type), unless canceled prior to the renewal date.
2. User Conduct Treat all users (Goodies), Mentors and Chat Coaches with respect. Harassment, inappropriate messages, or harmful behavior will result in account suspension or termination. Comments and messages should align with Good Eikaiwa's community guidelines of: Friendly, helpful, respectful. Conduct flagged as inappropriate will be reviewed by the Good Team and a determination made at their sole discretion. In the case of account termination, no refund will be issued.
3. Live Chat Sessions Live video chat sessions require additional payment in some cases. Missed sessions without prior cancellation, in line with stated cancellation policy are non-refundable. Recording or sharing live chat sessions without consent is prohibited. Please report any inappropriate conduct by a Chat Coach or fellow Goody. You may terminate the call if you feel uncomfortable and make a refund request to [email protected]. This will be issued, if there is determined to be reasonable grounds for the request. All reports and refund requests will be reviewed and appropriate action taken at the sole discretion of the Good Team.

4. Good Points and Good Coins Goodies earn Good Points by completing courses, participating in challenges, or other activities. Points can be converted to Good Coins. Good Coins can be used in the Good Shop as partial or full payment for designated items, but are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
5. Good Shop Purchases Physical products purchased in the Good Shop will be shipped to the address provided at checkout. Shipping costs and delivery times may vary. Digital product purchases are final and non-refundable.
6. Newsletter and Communications By subscribing to our Newsletter, you agree to receive our monthly e-newsletter: Good Times. You can unsubscribe anytime. This may include: News articles, English learning materials, new content and feature release information and offers for competitions or any other affiliated products or services. Competitions and incentives are subject to specific rules outlined at the time of participation.
7. Intellectual Property All content on Good Eikaiwa, including courses, articles, and gamification materials, any physical or digital products or written content is owned by Good Eikaiwa. Do not reproduce or share without express written permission.
8. Liability Good Eikaiwa is not liable or responsible for technical issues, loss of data, or other damages caused by user error, external factors or any issue beyond the control of Good Eikaiwa. No part of the product or service offering is guaranteed indefinitely. Use of the platform and services is at your own risk.
9. Termination of Use We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or Good Eikaiwa community guidelines. This will be at the sole discretion of Good EIkaiwa.
10. Changes to Terms Terms and conditions may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email, the e-newsletter (Good Times) or on the Good Eikaiwa platform itself.
11. Cancellation (General)
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access until that time. Subscription fees are non-refundable and we do not offer partial or prorated refunds for unused time. To avoid being charged for the next billing period, you must cancel before your renewal date. Paid live chat sessions must be cancelled within the stated cancellation timeframe at the time of booking. Missed sessions or late cancellations are non-refundable. If your account is terminated due to a breach of these Terms or community guidelines, no refund will be issued.

12. Subscription, Billing and Refunds (Apple App Store Purchases) If you subscribe through the Apple App Store, payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings on your device. Deleting your account or the app does not automatically cancel your subscription. All billing and refund requests for subscriptions purchased through Apple are handled by Apple Inc.. Refunds must be requested directly through Apple via your Apple ID account. Good Eikaiwa does not process refunds for purchases made through the Apple App Store. If you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period unless required by applicable law.

13. Subscription, Billing and Refunds (Google Play Purchases) If you subscribe through Google Play, payment will be charged to your Google account at the time of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected subscription plan. You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings on your device. Deleting your account or removing the app does not automatically cancel your subscription. All billing and refund requests for subscriptions purchased through Google Play are handled by Google LLC. Refund requests must be submitted directly through your Google Play account. Good Eikaiwa does not process refunds for purchases made through Google Play. If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a subscription period unless required by applicable law.

Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information when you use our platform. By using Good Eikaiwa, you agree to this Privacy Policy. We collect basic information required to operate the platform, including account details, subscription and billing information, usage data, and any messages or content you submit within the community or during live sessions. We only collect what is reasonably necessary to provide and improve our services. Your information is used to manage your account, provide access to content and features, process payments, communicate important updates, improve user experience, and maintain community safety. We do not sell your personal information. If you subscribe through Apple App Store or Google Play, billing and refunds are handled directly by those platforms. We may use trusted third-party providers to support hosting, payments, analytics, and platform functionality. These providers only access information necessary to perform their services. We take reasonable steps to protect your data, but no online system can guarantee absolute security. Use of the platform is at your own risk. You may request account deletion by contacting [email protected]. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel subscriptions managed through Apple or Google Play. Good Eikaiwa is intended for users aged 16 and over. By using the platform, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
